Are you ready for better bedtimes? According to our latest Sleep Report, it suggests that we’re looking for ways to improve our sleep, with over half of respondents rating it as low as six, or less out of ten. We surveyed a national representative sample of 2000 people from all age groups regarding their sleeping habits. We aimed to find out exactly why you’re not getting enough sleep, and uncovered some eye-opening statistics. From how often you change your bedding to your kids’ bedtime routine, we delved deeper into the factors that could affect your sleep long term.

We release our Sleep Report every year to help inform us of how the nation is snoozing – measuring trends and assessing whether there are any changes in our sleep year upon year. For example, more and more people are using tech to help them get their desired seven to eight hours, with 45% reporting that they track their sleep; of those, 10% track it every night, using a smartwatch, their phone, or a ring.

Better sleep may not happen overnight, especially if you share a bed, and from our survey, we know that 60% of you do. Sleeping with your partner or pets can mean there’s more disturbances, especially if they snore or get up frequently in the night. And if you sleep hot, they can make you feel even warmer. However, sharing a bed is not all bad, as it can increase comfort, emotional security, and closeness.

We know that routines before bed are important for the quality of sleep we get. We discovered 28% of us like to put off sleep by watching television or a film, this is known as sleep procrastination, and 29% like to read before they turn out the lights. The latter activity is better for us, according to the American Academy of Sleep, because reading is more relaxing and helps induce sleep, while the blue light emitted by our screens delays sleep.

Spring is nearly here, and the future is getting brighter for your sleep routine. We know that some people are getting better sleep than in previous years, with 44% of our participants getting 7+ hours per night, which is a 2% increase over our 2025 Sleep Report.
