UK Bedding Size Guide: Duvet Covers, Sheets & Pillowcases

UK bedding comes in five standard sizes — Single, Double, King, Super King and Emperor — each with specific dimensions for duvet covers, fitted sheets and pillowcases. This guide covers the exact measurements for every size, explains how UK sizing compares to EU sizing, and helps you find the right fit for your bed so your bedding sits correctly and performs as it should.

For the perfect fit you should look for a duvet cover which fits your duvet, rather than your mattress. Before you buy fitted sheets, check your mattress width, length and depth, especially if you also have a topper on your mattress. All our bedding is made to standard UK sizing, so if you have EU bedding, always double check our size guide for the dimensions.

UK Fitted Sheet Size Chart

When it comes to fitted sheets, they shouldn’t be too big or too small - hence the name, they need to have an exact fit. Ours are designed to measure the same as standard UK bed sizes, with a 32 cm depth. This depth allows for the sheet to fit over a deep mattress or a mattress with a topper. To find the right fit check your mattress width and length first, then check that your mattress works with the sheet depth. And if you have a topper check the depth combined with your mattress.

BED FITTED SHEET
UK Single 90 x 190 x 32 cm
UK Small Double 120 x 190 x 32 cm
UK Double 135 x 190 x 32 cm
UK King 150 x 200 x 32 cm
UK Super King 180 x 200 x 32 cm
EU Single 90 x 200 x 32 cm
EU Double 140 x 200 x 32 cm
EU King 160 x 200 x 32 cm
EU Emperor 200 x 200 x 32 cm

What the 32 cm Depth Means

Our fitted sheet depth is 32cm which is bigger than the UK standard (20–25 cm). Even with the extra depth it will fit on most mattresses, but if you have a topper, you’ll need to add that extra dimension into your measurement.

How to Measure Your Mattress for a Fitted Sheet

To measure your mattress for a fitted sheet, make sure you have a measuring tape. Firstly measure the width, then the length and lastly the depth (including topper) of your mattress, to help you find the perfect sheet for your bed.

Pillowcase Sizes

We offer standard 75 x 50 cm pillow cases across our three bamboo bedding collections plus a smaller 60 x 40 cm option in the 100% Bamboo Bedding range only.
