At Panda, protecting the planet is at the core of what we do. A good night’s sleep shouldn’t cost the Earth, which is why we have plans and policies in place that ensure a minimal impact on the environment at every stage of the production process – and beyond. Each decision we make is carefully considered with sustainability in mind, and we firmly believe in putting the planet first.

Why bamboo?

Bamboo is a wonder plant – absorbing carbon as it grows, regenerating quickly post-harvest, and contributing to biodiversity. It reaches up to three feet per day, requiring only rainwater to grow, with no harmful pesticides needed for it to flourish.

Our Bamboo

We source our bamboo from managed forests, ensuring wildlife and the environment and communities in the surrounding area are left unharmed. All of our bamboo textiles are produced using a closed-loop process to minimise water waste.

Planet-friendly Packaging

It’s not just our products that are kind to the planet, but our packaging too. From biodegradable Kraft paper to non-toxic ink, every aspect of our packaging has been chosen for its planet protection properties, so we’re sustainable at every stage of the process.

Circle of Life & Our Mattress Recycling Service

Millions of mattresses end up in landfill every year in the UK, and we don’t want to be part of that statistic, so we came up with some easy ways to help our customers recycle their end-of-life bedding.

With every Panda mattress order, we’ll collect your old mattress free of charge and take it to be recycled or repurposed. By offering this service we make sure your old mattress is responsibly recycled. 100% of end-of-life mattresses collected avoid landfill and are used for second life products.

We have also extended this service to all our products which are harder to recycle such as our pillows and toppers. We’ll even reward you with 20% off your next purchase for taking part in this initiative.

Even if you don’t place an order with us, we’re happy to collect your old mattress and recycle it for you. This is our Mattress Recycling Service.

Vegan-friendly

The bedding industry is heavily reliant on feather down, wool and cashmere, which are derived from animals, so we decided on an alternative with bamboo, which means all our products are suitable for vegans.

Giving Back to the Community

We have run a number of community initiatives and charitable activities, giving back to vulnerable people across London and beyond – from donating bedding to young people transitioning out of homelessness, to working with cancer charities to brighten patients’ days, we love spreading the joy of bamboo and a good night’s sleep.
