WE'RE A CERTIFIED B CORP™

It’s in our fabric…

The values behind B Corp™ have always been part of who we are and how we do things at Panda. In August 2026, we became a Certified B Corporation, recognising what’s always mattered to us: considering the impact we have on the people and communities we touch, and the world around us.

Our B Impact Score: 96

80 points required to qualify. 50.9 median score for ordinary businesses.

What this means when you shop with Panda London

Good things woven in:

What was assessed

Our B Corp assessment looked at how we treat our people, choose and manage suppliers, consider the lifespans of our products and support the customers who bring Panda into their homes. It examined the business behind the bedding, not just the products themselves.

Independent assessment, open results

B Corp certification is based on an assessment verified by B Lab, the non-profit organisation behind the standard. Our score and assessment profile are publicly available, so you can explore the areas measured and the result recorded.

What changes going forward

Our company’s core rules require directors to consider the impact of their decisions on our people, suppliers, communities and the environment. These considerations will shape how we govern the business, including decisions around materials and sourcing.

How B Corp certification works

Five threads, one bigger picture

B Corp certification looks at how a business operates as a whole. Rather than assessing one product, material or environmental initiative, B Lab’s B Impact Assessment examines company practices across five impact areas:

  • Governance: How a business is run, including purpose, ethics and transparency.

  • Workers: Employee wellbeing, financial security, development and engagement.

  • Community: Supplier relationships, inclusion, economic impact and giving.

  • Environment: Sourcing, land use, environmental management, emissions and water.

  • Customers: How a business serves and protects its customers.

The assessment covers roughly 200 questions across these areas, looking at a range of policies, practices and responsibilities.

B Lab verifies the assessment before certification is awarded; it isn’t self-declared. A company’s profile is then published in the B Corp directory. Certification isn’t permanent and businesses must undergo recertification under the applicable standards.

How we scored

What our score is made of

Our Governance, Worker, Community and Environment scores are higher than the average score for companies undertaking B Corp assessment in the UK, in the retail sector, and in our size range, reflecting the strength of our mission, engagement, ethics and transparency.

Here’s how we got there:

Workers
Supporting our team means offering private health and dental insurance, alongside flexible working options such as hybrid working, part-time hours and job-sharing where roles allow.

Strong supplier relationships are built on shared responsibility. Our Supplier Code of Conduct sets out clear social and environmental standards, which are checked through regular evaluations. Key suppliers are reviewed at least every two years to help keep these standards at the heart of how we work together.

Community
Better sleep and a safe, comfortable home can make a real difference to people’s wellbeing. Through our partnerships with The Sleep Charity, we help promote healthier sleep habits, while our work with Furnishing Futures supports women and children rebuilding their lives after domestic abuse to feel safe and settled at home. In both ways, our impact reaches beyond our products and into the communities around us.

Environment
Bamboo is at the heart of what we do, chosen for its softness and planet-friendly credentials. Our Circle of Life programme reflects our considered approach to product life cycles, recovering used products and components to reduce waste and help keep materials in use for longer.

Governance
Sustainability is a core pillar of our company values and objectives, shaping our governance, long-term business planning and decision-making. We encourage employees to take ownership of responsible practices and work with like-minded partners who share our values, keeping environmental and social considerations at the heart of how we manage and grow our business.

Customers
Customer feedback and product testing help shape our designs, ensuring we keep our customers’ needs at the heart of what we create. By listening to their experiences and understanding what matters most, we can continue to refine our products and make thoughtful improvements.

What we’re working on next

The B is just the beginning

Certification gives us a clearer picture of our practices today and a basis for deciding where to focus next. We’ll return to B Lab for reassessment, but our commitment to doing better doesn’t stop between certifications.

The principles behind the certification are in our fabric. They’re an ongoing commitment, reflected in the choices we make and the way we operate as a business. We’ll continue to build on what we’ve learned and look for ways to put these principles into practice.

FAQ

What is a B Corp?

Certified B Corporations™, or B Corps™, are companies verified as meeting standards for social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability.

Why B Corps matter

As B Lab puts it, “the world’s biggest challenges… cannot be solved by governments or nonprofits alone.” B Corps harness the power of business to create a global community working towards a more inclusive, equitable and sustainable economy that considers people and the planet alongside profit.

Why B Corps make a difference

With over 10,000 B Corps globally providing more than 1 million jobs, their impact goes beyond individual businesses. Compared with ordinary businesses, B Corps are more likely to advocate for stronger social and environmental standards (2.7 times), measure their impact against defined KPIs (3.1 times), and build social and environmental goals into key decisions (3.7 times). They’re also more likely to hold managers accountable for staying true to their mission (2.6 times) and to have boards made up predominantly of women or people from other underrepresented groups (1.6 times).

What score did Panda London get?

Panda Life Ltd., the company behind Panda London, achieved an overall B Impact Score of 96. The qualifying threshold for the assessment standards used was 80; the median score for ordinary businesses was 50.9.

Does B Corp certification mean a company is sustainable?

No. Certification does not mean a business is sustainable or that it has no environmental or social impact. It assesses verified performance across five areas against a defined threshold, and gives a broader view of company practices while leaving room for further improvement.

Our impact reporting includes cradle-to-gate life cycle assessments (LCAs), which demonstrate that our products have a lower negative impact on people and the environment than equivalent products made from other materials.

How is B Corp different from other eco certifications?

Many certifications focus on a particular material, product or environmental issue. B Corp takes a broader approach, assessing a business across governance, workers, community, environment and customers. It considers social and environmental performance together with accountability and transparency.

 When was Panda London certified?
