Panda launches their most sustainable bedding for Earth Day

Panda’s latest Signature+™ Bamboo Bedding Collection is made with bamboo lyocell, their purest, softest fabric. 

Panda, one of the UK’s leading sleep brands, celebrates Earth Day with a pivotal step forward on their journey to harmonise the relationship between luxury and sustainability. Utilising the most advanced production techniques, their latest fabric is made from bamboo sourced from the world’s most sustainable forests. Using a closed-loop process that saves 98% of water, bamboo lyocell is certified Standard 100 by OEKO-TEX® and is the purest bamboo-based textile on the market. 

Producing one pound of cotton can take up to 1320 gallons of water, so the brand set out to find a textile that feels even more luxurious without costing the Earth. Director Matan Gilan hails bamboo as “the fabric of the 21st century.” Not only does it provide an abundance of natural benefits, being hypoallergenic, naturally antibacterial, and highly breathable, but it is entirely biodegradable, and the plant grows up to 4 feet a day. The textile industry is responsible for up to around 8.5 million mattresses and 14 million duvets & mattress toppers ending up in landfill each year. Panda is passionate about reducing these figures, offering an eco-friendly production process and their Circle of Life initiative – where they collect and dispose of all memory foam products responsibly at the end of use.

The Signature+™ Collection was created to provide the most eco-friendly option for consumers who do not wish to compromise on luxury. Offering all the benefits of their signature bamboo, the fabric is softer, slightly more durable and the kindest choice for your skin and the planet.

Available in two new colours inspired by nature, their Forest Green and Pebble Cream Bedding Sets are likely to scoop up more awards from leading publications who are already fans of the brand. Available as a full bedding set or as individual pieces, they are due to launch on Earth Day and will be available on their website and via selected retailers.
