Panda Uncovers the UK's Surprising Sleep Secrets in 2025 Report

Panda, the luxury bamboo home and sleep brand, is waking up the nation to better bedtime habits with its annual Sleep Report. Sleep is incredibly important to the company – it’s what got them into bed in the first place, so they’re pleased to announce the findings of their 2025 Report.

With a sample representative of 2000 respondents, the survey was conducted by the Market Research company, Censuswide. Exploring sleep habits, routines and preferred aids when it comes to the UK’s shut eye, there’s some eye opening results.

Following the brand’s recent ad campaign, we’re the best in bed, Panda are keen to share the latest findings – from the good to the great!

Participants were asked to rate their sleep, with 10 being the highest on the scale and 0 being the lowest. 5% gave it a perfect score of 10, up 4.1% from last year. Overall, 74% rated their sleep at 5 or higher, a 5.1% improvement on Panda’s 2024 Sleep Report findings. Despite this positive result, it is the brand’s mission to improve the UK’s sleep even further; using the results of their 2025 Sleep Report, they’ll go on to innovate further alongside publishing new articles aimed at educating the nation on how to sleep better than ever.

Only 37% of respondents are getting the recommended 7–8 hours of sleep per night. An eye-opening 58% are falling short at 5–6 hours or less, a trend seen in previous years’ reports too. Another alarming trend emerging is the amount of those surveyed hitting the snooze button on their alarm, with 49% admitting to snoozing it up to five times. Only 26% rise with the first ring, while 24% are living the dream as they don’t need to set a morning alarm.

It seems people pick a side and stick to it when it comes to sleeping positions, as 70% of people favour sleeping on their side – with 44% of those preferring a curling up with legs touching position.

So how do they sleep at night? 40% rely on their own pillow to keep their mind at rest, 32% find their mattress helps them to drift off, 18% provided a blanket response, choosing a heated or cooling blanket as an aid to nodding off. Other methods mentioned were podcasts, music, pillow sprays and eye masks.

Respondents uncovered who they were sleeping with, 59% advising they share their bed with a pet or partner, while 41% sleep alone. Panda’s range of Hybrid Bamboo Mattresses come with excellent motion isolation for those who do share a bed, absorbing excess movement for seamless sleep.

But why does any of this matter? Sleep is a cornerstone of health, affecting everything from cognitive function to cardiovascular well-being. Panda’s 2025 Sleep Report not only sheds light on current sleep trends but also underscores the importance of creating optimal sleep environments. Their commitment to sustainable and comfortable sleep solutions, such as their supportive Bamboo Mattress Topper, sumptuous bedding ranges and pillows for the whole family, align with the nation's need for better rest.

The insights provided help Panda to continue to create award-winning innovations with bamboo, laying the foundation for a better bedding for all types of sleepers. They’ve made the report into a shorter blog post, coupled with an easily digestible infographic, as well as having the full report available.
