What is our sleep expert panel, and why do we have one?
At Panda, we’re dedicated to making sleep products which are the best on the market – all in the name of helping you get a good night’s sleep. But beyond that, we want to arm our customers with knowledge, expert advice and everything else needed to ensure you’re sleeping well and always improving your wellbeing. That’s why we introduced our very own panel of sleep-loving experts!
We are always in touch with our panel, having them provide expert commentary for articles or asking them to jump into radio interviews – they make videos for us, educate our internal team on various topics and much more. Sleep expert advice is valuable in so many ways.
Who are the sleep experts?
Take some time to get to know exactly who we work with on our sleep expert panel, their credentials, and their experience in ensuring better bedtimes for all.

Seeta and Mahesh Shah
This sibling duo are a recent addition to our expert sleep panel, and together they make up The Green Doctor team. The pair are both qualified medical doctors, with an interest in holistic wellbeing and naturopathy as well as solution-led lifestyle changes. Interested in the holistic side of medicine, Mahesh and Seeta are both compassionate, empathetic and highly knowledgeable. They both strongly believe in the power of sleep as a way to improve health and enjoy a longer life. While Mahesh has a keen interest in nutrition, Seeta is particularly invested in women’s health. Having medical experts on our panel has always been really important to us, as their dedication to training and learning the medical needs of our body (and how this relates to sleep) is something we really admire.
Appearing on new channels last year to shout about Panda’s 2024 Sleep Report, we have continued to build our relationship with both doctors ever since. We’ve asked their advice on all sorts of topics, from duvets for kids – Seeta says “for babies under 12 months, duvets aren’t recommended due to the risk of overheating and suffocation. For toddlers and older children, choose a lightweight, breathable duvet made from natural materials like bamboo or organic cotton,” to hybrid mattresses and even cucumbers!

Ritz Birah
Adding a psychologist to our sleep expert panel has always been something we wanted to achieve, and we were thrilled to recently onboard Ritika Suk Birah – also known as Dr Ritz. Psychology and sleep go hand in hand, and better bedtimes are key to improving our mental health and psyche. We’re able to draw on Dr Ritz’s 12 years of clinical experience; as a consultant counselling psychologist, whose work is deeply rooted in neuroscience, Ritz is passionate about her work and also about how sleep really helps to soothe the mind. She says that “a good night's sleep is essential for brain health, helping with memory consolidation, emotional regulation, and cognitive function” – and we couldn’t agree more.
Offering a WhatsApp-based journaling service (Reflect with Ritz) aimed at helping you build habits, improve your mindset and support your mental wellbeing, Dr Ritz is at the forefront of social psychology, and we’re honoured to work with her at Panda. Her expert commentary has already contributed to our 2025 Sleep Report, a valuable piece of research we conduct every year.

Bethany Lawrence
One of our more longstanding sleep experts, Bethany, plays a key role – as a trained osteopath with over five years of experience, she runs her own clinic: Osteobeth. Here, she treats patients with dignity and respect, working to find and treat the condition, not just the symptoms. And this goes hand in hand with sleep; osteopathy is a hands-on approach to musculoskeletal pain and problems, many of which can make it hard to relax, get comfortable and fall asleep. This is an issue because sleep does wonders to heal the body; a belief we firmly hold.
Our use of third-generation memory foam, along with other innovative sleep technology, is designed to support and cradle the bones and joints for enhanced comfort. By keeping the neck and spine aligned, we can help to minimise aches and pains – something Bethany’s patients can appreciate, and why she is happy to endorse our products. We love to learn from Bethany, especially in terms of the physical side of health and sleep, and her advice on so-called ‘text neck’ provided us with some really interesting ideas as to how technology is impacting kids’ sleep.
James White
Another osteopath, James, is a dedicated member of our sleep expert panel – and one whose face you may have seen a few times if you follow Panda on social media! Always keen to share his knowledge around sleep and our musculoskeletal system, we have learnt so much from James over the years which has allowed us to shape the language we use around our products and the ways in which they can help with support, comfort and better sleep for those who suffer from back pain, neck pain and so on.
At James’ clinic, Taunton Health, he and his team treat a variety of problems and conditions: sports injuries, headaches, lower/upper/middle back pain and neck pain. All of these issues impact patients’ day-to-day life (and, more often than not, their sleep), which is why what James does is so important. Helping to alleviate a variety of symptoms from dizziness to poor posture, osteopathy goes hand in hand with improving sleep and ensuring bedtime is a time that promotes healing and rest.
Rose Mahon
A successful model and busy mum, Rose brings a fresh perspective to our panel of sleep experts – she knows all too well the importance of a good night’s rest. With a hectic work schedule and the demands of parenting, sleep is key to ensuring Rose performs at her best in all aspects of life. Beyond sleep, we look to Rose when it comes to the benefits of bamboo; as a model, caring for her skin and hair is absolutely essential, and bamboo is a wonder fabric in this regard. Naturally antibacterial to help prevent acne, hypoallergenic to prevent allergies and irritation, and anti-static for good hair days every day. It’s no wonder Rose is such a fan of bamboo, and we really lean into her expertise when it comes to a healthy lifestyle with a busy schedule. You can read all about Rose’s beauty sleep routine and discover all her best kept secrets!
Aimee Victoria Long
Fitness and sleep go hand in hand, which is why having a personal trainer on our expert panel made so much sense to us. As Aimee herself says, ‘a solid exercise routine has been shown to help you fall asleep faster, while regular exercise can help improve your circadian rhythm, which means improved sleep patterns and health’. A celebrity trainer based in London, she works with clients to create a personalised routine through a holistic approach, tailored to individual goals. Exercise, much like sleep, is a really personal experience: there is no one-size-fits-all approach, which is why a bespoke routine makes so much sense.
We love speaking with Aimee about sleep, fitness, hydration and much more. Her insight into how the body works, and how sleep is often the missing piece in an overall exercise regimen.
Other additions to the sleep expert panel
Over time, we hope to add more experts to our panel. There are many other areas of expertise that intertwine with sleep and wellbeing, as well as bamboo; we are looking to expand by onboarding more medical professionals, like a paediatrician to help us advise on kids’ sleep and a dermatologist, so we can speak more in depth about the benefits of bamboo for our skin. As we continue to grow our panel of hardworking sleep experts, our aim will never change: to provide the best sleep advice to our customers and guide everyone to a better night’s sleep. This, combined with our annual Panda Sleep Report, gives us a foundation on which to build.
